Once upon a winter's eve, when icicles fell and no one could leave
The town for fear, a cold death would draw near
They clutched their bibles, so holy, so dear
And prayed for the dawn to appear
It was on this night, that poor child died
He couldn't fight, his freedom's denied
"He's cast out the light, a witch!" they cried
So the death drum beat out a steady toll
They stomped their feet, it was so droll
The gallows they called, the mother she wept
For all the madness and darkness 'twas kept.
Morning came, but sunlight did not, and the corpse it did rot
The flies danced upon frozen young skin,
And this coal-mining town would pay for its sin
"Witch!" they had cried, a witch they would get
A new kind of cold was fixing to set
It'd be one winter, they'd never forget
So the death drum beat out a steady toll
While everyone laughed, it was so droll
But the child would wake, the noose he would take
And proceed to reap their souls
Us shadows we watched, the cruel, the debauched
But nothing was like chastising a town for it sins
That's really where the real fun begins.
Frozen witch boys, frozen witch girls
Your time is now, your banner unfurls
Pungent inks, raise your quills to the skies
Tell your tales, disband their lies
Frozen witch boys, and frozen witch girls
With icy, embittered, matted-curls
With the shadows, you'll devour the night
This is your sacred fight
Turn out the lights it's time for bed
Turn out the lights, or you'll all be dead.

I could honestly march to this song; if they had the right banner.
